Congressional Youth Advisory Council
Congresswoman Judy Chu’s Congressional Youth Advisory Council (CYAC) is an opportunity for high school students residing or studying in California’s 28th Congressional District to highlight and discuss important issues that faces our youth. Students will work directly with staff and a diverse group of leaders from our community to collaborate and identify how the federal government can help the community.
Student Eligibility:
- Students must either reside or study in the 28th Congressional District.
- Students must be in 9th through 12th grade when the program begins.
Application Materials:
- Completed Online Application Form
- Signed Authorization and Release Form
- High school transcript (or middle school transcript for incoming first years)
- Two letters of recommendation from non-family members
- A 250-word personal statement on why you wish to be a member of the Council
- Resume
Deadline:
- For the 2024-2025 CYAC, the deadline to submit applications is September 1st, 2024.
