Internships
Internships are available in my Washington, D.C., and Pasadena office year-round. Current undergraduate students and recent graduates who are passionate about public service are encouraged to apply.
Ideal applicants will have a high degree of professionalism, customer service experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, applicants should have a strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced, flexible work environment. Interns should have a demonstrated interest in public service and serving their community.
Candidates from diverse backgrounds including women, people of color, first-generation or low-income college students, and members of the LGBTQI+ community are encouraged to apply. Ties to the 28th District or Southern California are a plus. Washington, D.C. Office
Interns have a variety of responsibilities, but some duties include fielding phone calls, researching legislation, preparing press clips, and drafting letters to constituents. Interns in our Washington, D.C., office have the opportunity to attend briefings, Congressional hearings and other events.
Applications for the Summer 2025 internship program are now closed. Applications for the Fall 2025 program will be considered on a rolling basis, with a priority deadline of July 24th. Internships in our Washington, D.C., office are paid.

Our Washington, D.C., office prioritizes those who are available full-time or four days a week from 9-6 pm. In your cover letter, please include any your ideal start and end date, and weekly availability.

Pasadena Office
Interns in our Pasadena office have the opportunity for in depth community engagement through various district events and meetings with stakeholders. Tasks include answering phone calls, researching legislation, and assisting staff in preparing for community events.

Stipends for Pasadena-based interns are subject to a weekly minimum-hour requirement. Our Pasadena office is currently accepting Summer 2025 internship applications on a rolling basis.
