Rep. Chu Statement on US-China Climate Change Deal

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-27) applauded the announced climate change agreement between the U.S. and China. Rep. Chu released the following statement:

“Two of the world’s largest economies and most influential countries have made it clear that climate change is real, it is serious, and it must be confronted urgently. The bold reductions laid out in the agreement is an important step forward. Not only will these reductions help ensure a healthier planet for us and future generations, but they will promote and advance the clean technology industry here at home as they seek to develop, install, and upgrade our energy infrastructure. I applaud the President on reaching this plan to reduce the negative impact we are having on the climate while also creating opportunities for new jobs, new investments, and new science.”
