Rep. Chu’s Statement on the House Passage of Six FY 2023 Funding Bills
Washington, D.C. — Today, the House passed H.R. 8294, the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, Agriculture, Rural Development, Energy and Water Development, Financial Services and General Government, Interior, Environment, Military Construction, and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act of 2023, a package of six fiscal year 2023 government funding bills which will make historic investments benefitting hardworking families and communities across the San Gabriel Valley and the nation.
"I was proud to vote today in favor of the fiscal year 2023 Minibus Funding Package, which is going to bring critical federal dollars right back home to the San Gabriel Valley. Judy Chu. "I secured nearly $30 million this year in direct funding for our district in this package, which will go toward community projects to include restoration of the San Gabriel Basin, building new affordable housing, urban development initiatives and combatting youth homelessness."
