WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the United States Supreme Court ruled in McCutcheon v. FEC that aggregate limits on campaign contributions through the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 are unconstitutional under the First Amendment. The 5-4 ruling opens the door for individuals to make unlimited contributions to politicians, political parties and political action funds, commonly known as PACs.
