WASHINGTON — Today, Rep. Judy Chu (CA-27) held a press conference outside the Pasadena Post Office to condemn the White House's attempts to hobble post office services before the election, including cutting worker hours, shutting down sorting machines, and removing post boxes. At the press conference, Rep. Chu also stated that the Administration's announcement that they would suspend further changes to the post office was insufficient, announcing that on Saturday, the House will vote on H.R.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 6395, the William M. Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021. The NDAA authorizes $740.5 billion in defense spending at the Department of Defense and Department of Energy. This includes a 3% pay raise for members of the military, $5 million for research into extreme weather, and a $1 billion Pandemic Preparedness and Resilience National Security Fund .

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 1425, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Enhancement Act. This bill makes healthcare more accessible by expanding tax credits to help more middle-class individuals and families to qualify for subsidies in the Marketplace, ensuring that no person will pay more than 8.5 percent of their income on a silver plan in the Marketplace. This bill also includes an amendment that would make DACA recipients eligible for tax credits, so they can access affordable coverage.
