PASADENA, CA - On Thursday January 27, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced that it was awarding over $57 million in grants to over 567 arts organizations, including two in Pasadena: $150,000 for A Noise Within and $100,000 for Fulcrum Arts. The grants, created as part of the American Rescue Plan, which Congress passed last year, are intended to help support jobs in the arts sector, keep the doors open to arts organizations nationwide, and assist the field in its response to and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. SVOG, which provided grants to concert venues, theaters, museums, and other businesses that host performances, has disbursed $14 billion in assistance to small businesses.
