In the wake of the Supreme Court's recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, a precedent has been set for the same Court to next overturn Griswold v. Connecticut, a 1965 landmark decision which protects the freedom to use contraceptives without government interference.

Washington, D.C. — Today, the United States House of Representatives once again passed the Women's Health Protection Act of 2022, led by Representatives Judy Chu (CA-27), Lois Frankel (FL-21), Veronica Escobar (TX-16) and Ayanna Pressley (MA-07). The 219 – 210 vote on this critical legislation — which previously passed the House in September 2021 — comes just weeks after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, reversing nearly 50 years of precedence and protection.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Judy Chu (D-CA) issued the following statement after testing positive for COVID-19:
"On Tuesday morning, I took a rapid antigen test and received a negative result. I routinely get PCR testing and on Tuesday evening, I received a positive result. After consulting with the House Physician, I am isolating in accordance with CDC guidelines. I am currently asymptomatic and thankful to have received my vaccination and two booster shots. I encourage everyone to get vaccinated and boosted if you have not already."
